How do we prepare a community college for future growth?
The Southeast Campus Learning Commons is a second-story 4,000 SF bridge connecting the Science and Technology Building to the East Wing Building. With a new academic focus on collaboration and congregation, the addition is populated with indoor and outdoor "sticky spaces" allowing both students and staff to have subtle points of connectivity to and from class. The landscaping provides shade and cool the surrounding air, making the exterior plaza a cozy place to lounge even in the warmer months.
Anchored on what will be the nexus of future development for the campus, the Learning Commons simplicity will allow it to evolve to facilitate new and exciting programs as the college continues its accelerated growth.
